After seven years as Vice President for Academics, Dean Hanshew is returning to the pastorate. His excellent leadership brought stability and improvements to the college's curriculum, and he was known for challenging students' thinking. Dean Hanshew also acted as Chair of the Pastoral Ministry Major. The Missions-TESOL major and the prison ministry of Mount Olive Bible College are significant parts of his legacy. Elizabeth Hanshew will also be missed as women's basketball assistant coach. We wish them an effective church ministry in North Carolina.

For 23 years, Lance Duncan drove a weekly 2.5-hour commute to ABC. He was motivated by a commitment to Biblical counseling and a love for the students. Besides teaching many of the counseling, psychology, and sociology courses, Mr. Duncan made himself available to students who needed one-on-one counseling. His influence will live on for years to come as ABC alumni turn to God's word for answers and hope. Congratulations on your retirement, Mr. Duncan!
