Trevor, a Bible/Theology and Missions student, spent the summer as a missionary intern in Spain. At last night's Missions In Action, he shared about using his limited Spanish to witness on city streets: "Some people rejected it hard-core. But you step out again, pull out another tract, and the next person may or may not give the same response—but it's up to God."
Trevor, who also leads an evangelism team at ABC, offered some advice to fellow students: "While it is hard to think about, 'How am I going to talk about Jesus Christ with other people?' it's very important to get into those conversations. Practice here with other students. Ask them, 'How can I pray for you?' 'What have you been learning in your Bible?'—simple things that show Christ is sufficient for you and you don't need to be afraid. Then, when you do go out, you can talk with people and it will be natural, and you can show Christ in your life—that He is the center of your life, not just something we talk about on Sundays."
Each ABC student chooses a local church in the Beckley, WV area where he or she can fellowship and serve. What tips would you share with freshmen deciding which church to commit to?

For 6 weeks of the past summer, Annalise (Missions ministry major senior from Colorado) participated in everyday life with veteran missionaries in Tanzania—from teaching a VBS class to eating baked termites! She says she loved the people, the culture, even the language (Swahili), and she would love to go back if God so leads.
Annalise's time in Africa also gave her a new appreciation for the privilege of studying at ABC: "I got to experience their Bible college for one day. These people come for one week out of the year. They stay in storage containers which they've turned into dorms and a lot of people fit into them on bunk beds. They just study intensively that one week and get a lot of training."
"It was really neat for me to see the sacrifice that those people make to study the Bible. And yet here I am every day at Bible college and I take it for granted so much. A lot of these people traveled long distances and they had to come up with the money to pay for the bus fare. One day I know they ran out of food... but it didn't matter to these people. They were there studying the Bible and they were excited about it."
"For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God." Romans 14:11
