will be praying for the families impacted by yesterdays mine explosion in Montcoal, near Pettus, WV. Rescue efforts are ongoing for four missing miners, while twenty-five have been confirmed dead.
Several students and staff will return to the scene of Monday's mine explosion to serve in counseling and comfort to the families waiting to hear of their loved ones condition. The team will be present during the early afternoon hours when significant news is suspected. Let them know your praying by posting a quick note.

The ABC Coal Mine Disaster Team set out this morning with clothing and supplies for the families they have been serving the past few days. Today, additional students have been added to the team. They will be providing support by assisting with everyday needs (i.e. trash removal, cleaning, etc.).

"What was... what will be... " Thank you to the Junior class for honoring the Class of 2010 with the recent Junior/Senior Banquet. Mr. Chesley and Dr. King delivered remarks challenging this years' seniors to move forward for God.

Special guest on campus Mayor Emmit Pugh of Beckley, WV, presented an award of appreciation during Monday's chapel to Student Council President, John Miller, for work done in Beckley through the Diakonos Project. This Christian Service project seeks to serve the community by donating labor for various improvement work. Following chapel the Mayor visited with students in the cafeteria. Mayor Pugh was accompanied by his wife, daughter, and her husband.
An event of non-stop fun and spiritual challenge. This year about 200 teens converged on the ABC campus to enjoy friendship, games, and spiritual encouragement. This year's speaker was ABC President, Dr. Daniel Anderson. Praise God for 1 salvation and several other decisions that were made.
